Listen To Roadhouse Radio NOW: 11/30/11: Men In Black, Winter In Kentucky, & Grim Reaper Blues

The Entrance Band is a California psyche band featuring Guy Blakeslee (who used to play by himself as Entrance). We're big fans here AST, cuz how can you not love a band who covers Charlie Patton and records something as heavy and direct as "Grim Reaper Blues" (the first song on this show- click the link)? They're also playing Seattle on Tuesday night at The Sunset in Ballard. They are a great live band, and highly recommended!

Also on this show, a set of topical songs that speak to our constant American struggle against the right wing haters - Johnny Cash sings why he wears black, Pete Seeger sings "Waist Deep In The Big Muddy" fresh off the Blacklist (he appears on the Smothers Brothers show in 1967), and Conor Oberst and Todd Snider lay it hard on the recent former President who trashed our country in just eight short years. Odetta sings Dylan's "Masters Of War", and Phil Ochs is "Talking Pay TV". This is classic material! Check it out.

There's also plenty of new material from Wooden Wand (great new album), Tom Waits, Deer Tick, Denver, Deep Dark Woods, Lydia Loveless, Nikki Lane, Lanie Lane, Bonnie Prince Billy, Alabama Shakes, Pharis & Jason Romero, and local artist Lindsay Fuller.

Old nuggets from John Lee Hooker, Big Joe Williams, Loretta Lynn, and Mississippi Fred McDowell.

Dig it NOW!
